Not your average evening out. We're hosting a wine tasting and label design night inside Renegade Urban Winery in Walthamstow - one of London's most exciting urban wineries, where the wine is actually made on-site.
From 7pm, Steve will be guiding us through a tasting of 4 carefully chosen Wildcase bottles, each selected for one reason beyond what's in the glass: they've got genuinely great labels. Because in the world of independent wine, the label tells a story before you've even poured a drop, and Steve knows how to tell it.
Wildcase is a wine club built around finding the bottles most people never come across: small producers, unusual grapes, up-and-coming regions, and the kind of quality that quietly makes you rethink what wine can be. Steve will walk us through what's in each glass, where it's from, and what makes it worth seeking out.
And why not have a go yourself? During the tasting you can grab some blank labels, paints, pens and pencils so you can design your own. No art degree required, the best wine labels have always had an amateur charm to them, and that's exactly the point. You'll go home with something you made, inspired by the bottles in front of you.
Any of the wines tasted on the night can be bought to take home, you could even add your uniquely designed label to it so that you really have a one of a kind bottle! Perfect for a keepsake or personalised gift.

Renegade is London's original urban winery, making wine on-site in Walthamstow from grapes sourced across Europe. Their space on Lockwood Way is open as a bar and restaurant Thursday to Sunday, and it's one of those places that just feels different the moment you walk in. We're lucky to be hosting there.
